The remit
Starting problems, dashboard warnings, vehicle systems and connected-car controls are within our coverage. We explain what a driver can observe, what the applicable documentation says and where qualified diagnosis is needed.
The decision
A brief should establish the vehicle and operating context, separate a detected condition from a possible cause, and make the safety boundary explicit. Sometimes the next action is to record a symptom or check a documented control. Sometimes it is to stop and seek appropriate help.
