Data use and reader controls.

Newsletter records include the submitted email address, request time, referring site page and subscription or unsubscribe choices. A new subscription requires confirmation through a link we email to you and a confirmation on our website. We do not send an additional welcome email after confirmation. Membership applies to TunedDrive only. An unsubscribe link in each issue stops that list's delivery.

Spam prevention uses browser and connection information to limit automated or repeated requests. A temporary cookie displays the sign-up result. Our email and security service providers process the information needed to handle your request. Contact the publication for requests concerning subscription records.

Umami processes connection and browser information for cookieless page-view statistics. Google Analytics is optional: it loads only after the reader opts in through the site’s analytics choice and may use analytics cookies.

Analytics data excludes names, email addresses, form text and URL query strings. Private editorial previews do not load audience analytics. Session replay is not used.

In the footer’s “Cookie settings”, enable or disable “Optional measurement” and select “Save choices” to set your Google Analytics preference. When browser storage is available, the preference is retained in this browser’s local storage for later visits. The same control changes the preference. Declining stops subsequent Google Analytics measurement and attempts to remove the Google Analytics cookies accessible to this page. It does not erase data already received by Google. Remaining cookies can be removed in browser settings. Clearing site data clears the saved choice. Cookieless Umami measurement continues independently.

Hosting and security services process IP addresses, requested pages, browser details, request times and similar connection information for delivery, error investigation and protection against abuse. Security features may use cookies to distinguish legitimate traffic from abuse.

Correspondence includes your email address, message and any submitted details or attachments. We use that information to respond, investigate or handle the request. Do not send passwords or sensitive account data.

Search operates on TunedDrive’s titles and summaries, not through an external search provider. Search terms appear in the URL. Keep sensitive information out of the query.

Hosting, security, email and measurement services process information required to operate the site. Umami uses our analytics service; Google processes optional Google Analytics information following opt-in. Processing may take place outside your country. Disclosure may be required by law or needed to address fraud, abuse or a security issue. Linked external sites apply their own privacy practices.

Browser settings control cookies and site storage. Direct privacy questions and requests for access, correction or removal of correspondence to contact@tuneddrive.com. We assess requests under applicable rules and may need to verify identity. Records may need to be retained for security, legal obligations or an unresolved request.
