Does your phone and base line up

Magnetic alignment needs the phone itself or its case to carry magnets. Scosche names iPhone MagSafe models except 16e, plus Qi2-ready phones in magnetic cases, so a bare Samsung Galaxy or Pixel without a magnetic case will not hold or charge here.

The mount also expects a ProClip base at the AMPS pattern. That base is not in the box, and without it there is nothing for the mounting plate to bolt to.

We'd consider this mount only if you already own a ProClip AMPS base, because the charging head is the product here and the vehicle-specific base is what actually holds it in your car.

What it will not do

This is a charging holder, not a fix for a weak car battery, a bad charging port or a phone that will not hold a magnetic grip. It also cannot improve placement on a dashboard that has no compatible base or flat surface for the adhesive adapter.

Skip it if your phone lacks magnets, because the Qi2 pad and the mount both depend on that connection.

No magnetic phone or case means no hold and no charge.

$16.52 (25 percent)

The charger is priced at $49.99, down from a typical price over the last 90 days of $66.51. That saves $16.52, about 25 percent, and matches the lowest price seen in the all-time window.

The box includes the charging head with attached USB-C cable, a 40W USB-C car charger, cable management clips and an AMPS mounting plate. Your ProClip base stays a separate purchase.

Your base, adhesive surface and cable route

Confirm you already own a ProClip vehicle-specific base that meets the AMPS pattern. If you do not, budget for that base before buying this mount, since the plate alone will not attach to your car.

The included adhesive dashboard adapter is an alternative surface, so check where a flat spot allows it and whether that placement keeps the phone within reach. Power comes from the bundled 40W USB-C car charger, and the clips on the back of the head are meant to tuck the attached cable out of the way.

Who should choose this mount

We recommend this for a driver with a magnetic iPhone or magnetic-case phone who already has a ProClip base and wants the head, charger and cable management in one purchase. It suits someone who prioritizes a tidy dashboard and Qi2 speeds up to 25W.

Skip it if you drive a phone without magnets, if you have no AMPS-compatible base and do not want to buy one, or if you need a free-standing mount that sticks anywhere out of the box. Before adding it to your cart, confirm your phone model, your base and the space where the charging head will sit.
