Which vehicles this wireless RV camera kit suits

This kit suits RV, fifth wheel, truck, travel trailer, camper and bus owners who want a rear view without running video cable to the cab. The 10.1 inch monitor shows a 1080P picture, and the camera streams to it over a wireless link rated for up to 100 feet.

For Furrion pre-wired jack owners, we'd consider this the simpler pick. The camera connects to those jacks and powers on when your vehicle lights come on. For everyone else, the camera still mounts and takes a power cord from your supply.

What it will not do

Wireless here means video only. The camera and the monitor both draw power from a cord, so this is not a battery-only setup, and a weak supply shows up in the picture rather than as a warning.

It is not compatible with Furrion cameras, and loop recording depends on an SD card that is not included. A discount does not diagnose a fault in a factory camera that already fails.

What it will not do

Video is wireless; the camera and monitor each need wired power.

Not compatible with Furrion cameras, even where Furrion mounting jacks line up.

What to confirm before you order

Check your power source first. Owners of newer GMC, Chevrolet and Ford vehicles should confirm whether the truck uses PWM tail lights, since those signals can disturb video and cause flicker or dropouts. If PWM applies, a Furrion 7-way adapter or 12V PWM filter, neither included, cleans up the supply. Most other brands do not need one.

Then check the recording side. Loop recording needs an SD card, and the system can show up to four cameras if you add them. Plan where the monitor lands on your dash and how far it sits from the camera, because the link is rated to 100 feet.

Who should buy this and who should skip it

We recommend it for RV and trailer owners who want a large wireless rear view and room to add up to three more cameras later. The 1080P monitor gives a clear detail view for keeping an eye on what's behind you.

We'd skip it if you need a battery-only camera, need Furrion camera compatibility, or drive a PWM-equipped GM truck and would rather not buy an adapter or filter separately. Sort out power and mounting, then decide.
