BMW Motorrad USA has announced the 2027 F 450 GS, a new adventure bike built around a 420cc parallel-twin engine. The U.S. market launch is expected in Q1 2027, and MSRP starts at $6,995 plus Destination (opens in a new tab).
The engine makes 48 hp and 32 lb.-ft of torque, and BMW says the crankpin offset is set at 135 degrees. A six-speed transmission is fitted, and the Easy Ride Clutch lets a rider pull away without touching the clutch lever. That clutch is standard on the GS Trophy variant, and BMW lists clutchless shifting on both the Sport and GS Trophy models.

Rain, Road and Enduro riding modes come standard, along with ABS Pro, DBC, DTC and MSR. Sport and GS Trophy packages add Enduro Pro mode. The exhaust is stainless steel and runs through two catalytic converters, and the bike is Euro 5+ compliant.
Chassis, seats and standard equipment
BMW developed a new tubular steel frame for the bike. Up front sits a KYB upside-down telescopic fork, while the rear uses a hollow-cast aluminum double-sided swing arm paired with a KYB central spring strut that has travel-dependent damping. Brembo supplies the braking system, which works with BMW Motorrad ABS Pro and Dynamic Brake Control.
The new alloy wheels are 2.2 lbs lighter than those on the G 310 GS. Heated grips, full LED lighting and a 6.5-inch TFT color display with Connectivity are standard, as is a USB-C charging socket. The LED headlight uses X lighting elements.

A two-piece seat is standard, and BMW offers three seat variants in total. A low black rider's seat and a high Rallye seat are available through accessories. The GS Trophy comes with wider enduro footrests as standard.
How to get it
The F 450 GS is expected to reach the U.S. market in Q1 2027, with pricing starting at $6,995 plus Destination. BMW lists the GS Trophy as the variant that gets the Easy Ride Clutch as standard equipment.
BMW also lists luggage and protective accessories, plus two optional windshields. The Tour version has height adjustment; the Rallye version is clear. Silver handlebar risers are another accessory.
