Bridgestone Americas announced a three-year partnership that makes it the Official Tire of the Sports Car Club of America and the only tire supplier for the SCCA Club Spec program (opens in a new tab). The agreement covers grassroots competition including autocross, track days and time trials.

The Bridgestone Potenza RE-71RZ, an extreme 200TW summer performance tire, is the designated tire for Club Spec competition. Bridgestone says it will support established classes such as Solo Spec Coupe, Club Spec MX-5 and Club Spec Mustang, and will be the official spec tire for the Club Spec Cayman class when that class launches in 2027.

Bridgestone says the partnership is meant to lower the technical and financial barriers to entering motorsports.

Other programs covered

Bridgestone says it will also back SCCA Women on Track and the Track Night in America program, which offers track access regardless of driver skill level.

Bridgestone and the SCCA say they plan to work together on educational programs, trackside support and member experiences, though no dates or prices for those efforts were announced. Heyward Wagner, Vice President of Rally, Solo and Experiential Programs at SCCA, said the club welcomed the brand back and noted Bridgestone supported SCCA Solo competitors 20 years ago.
