What your vehicle needs to support

The ArtiDiag600 Pro works with OBDII-compliant vehicles built after 1996. TOPDON lists coverage for more than 90 brands and over 10,000 models, spanning 12V passenger cars, diesels, SUVs, pickups, minivans and light-duty trucks. AutoVIN can read the VIN for you, though not every model supports that shortcut.

Protocol matters as much as the model year, so we'd consider the VIN check step one. This scanner handles CAN-FD plus FCA, Renault, Nissan and SFD secure gateway access, and TOPDON notes some of those gateways may require a separate purchase or subscription. Menus shift by make, model and year, so a broad compatibility figure does not promise every reset on your exact truck.

What it will not do

We'd skip this if you expect a scanner to repair anything. It reads and clears codes, graphs live data and captures freeze frame values, but the fix still depends on your diagnosis. The nine resets, including ABS bleeding, battery matching and DPF regeneration, only run when your vehicle's menu allows them, so this is a reading and service tool rather than a cure.

What it will not do

This is a diagnostic and service-reset tool, not a repair device.

$30.58 (12 percent)

At $218.97, the ArtiDiag600 Pro sits $30.58 under the typical price over the last 90 days of $249.55, a 12 percent difference.

The hardware backs the price: 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, Android 11.0 and a 5-inch 1280x720 touch screen. Updates arrive over Wi-Fi at no cost for the life of the tool, which is the part that usually separates a keeper from a paperweight.

What to confirm before you plug in

Connection is through the OBDII port, so check that your vehicle has one and that the port is reachable from where you want the screen. The tablet is a standalone unit rather than a phone accessory, so you do not need a separate adapter or app to run the full-system scan.

Confirm your gateway situation first. If your car sits behind an FCA, Renault, Nissan or SFD secure gateway, ask whether access needs a paid unlock before you rely on the tool for that vehicle. AutoVIN support also varies, so plan on entering vehicle details manually where it is missing.

Who should buy this scanner

This suits a home mechanic or shop running several 1996-and-newer vehicles who wants full-system scans and service resets without a phone tether. The nine maintenance functions and lifetime Wi-Fi updates cover most routine work, and all 10 OBD2 modes with four live data streams give you enough to chase an intermittent fault.

Skip it if you own one older vehicle with simple emissions codes, since a basic reader will do. Skip it too if your specific gateway or model-year reset is not confirmed, because a good price does not add a function your car's menu does not expose.
