Its two electric motors deliver 645 lb-ft of torque, and BMW says it can reach 62 mph from rest in 3.9 seconds, with a maximum speed of 149 mph.
The standard chassis equipment also includes variable sport steering, M Sport brakes and an M Sport differential with electronic control. BMW says The Heart of Joy works with BMW M Dynamic Performance Control to manage steering, braking, recuperation and powertrain functions within milliseconds. Drivers can change how M eDrive responds using paddles on the steering wheel.
Production timing and equipment choices
BMW schedules the start of production for the 2027 BMW iX3 M60 xDrive for spring 2027, at its BMW Group Plant Debrecen facility in Hungary. Buyers get 21-inch M alloy wheels as standard, while optional wheel packages extend to 22 inches. M Yellow Lights are optional, while the M Sport package and BMW Iconic Glow exterior package are included as standard equipment.
Inside, BMW Panoramic iDrive runs BMW Operating System X, with a driver-facing Central Display measuring 17.9 inches. The optional BMW 3D Head-Up Display supplements the standard BMW Panoramic Vision. Available M Sport seats provide ten-way power adjustment and a massage function. Optional BMW Digital Premium provides access to M-specific apps, including M Cockpit for configurable dashboards showing real-time vehicle data and M Drag Meter for acceleration data.
