The campaign covers 3,038 potentially affected units and is classified as an equipment recall under the structure component. A loose pivot bolt can let the crossbar it holds come away from the rack, and a detached crossbar can create a road hazard and a crash risk.
Dealers will install replacement pivot bolts for the rack's crossbars at no cost to owners. Interim letters explaining the safety risk are expected to be mailed on October 8, 2026. Owners will receive another notice when the final remedy becomes available.
