CTEK's RB 3000 and RB 4000 portable boosters are available today in North America, giving drivers two peak-current options for jump-starting vehicles with discharged 12V lead-acid batteries (opens in a new tab). CTEK rates the RB 3000 at a peak of 3,000A and the RB 4000 at a peak of 4,000A.
CTEK positions the RB 4000 for vehicles that need more starting power, making starting demand the distinction between the two models. Both boosters incorporate reverse-polarity protection as well as spark-proof technology among their built-in safety features.
The North American introduction follows the models' availability in Europe and Australia, where CTEK says they received a positive response. The company says adding these two models expands the range of boosters it offers in North America.
How to get it
Both models are available now across the North American market, and CTEK directs buyers to its website for further information. Each comes with cables that detach and a protective case, which CTEK says make storage in a vehicle easier.
Beyond starting a vehicle, either booster can serve as a power bank, using USB-C and USB-A connections to charge compatible devices. Each also includes an LED flashlight with three operating modes, allowing drivers to select SOS, standard illumination or strobe.
